A virtue lesson class with Virtue=Strength resources from St. Joseph Academy in San Marcos, CA.
As Catholics we face a unique challenge.
We want our children to be virtuous leaders who will make a positive impact on the world around them.
Yet teaching virtue requires intentional practice.
Wouldn’t it be great to have a Catholic program that complements your efforts in formation and strengthens students in the practice of virtue while also captivating them with the beauty of the Catholic Faith?
Virtue=Strength™ works hand-in-hand with your current religious education program. It emphasizes strengthening students’ moral character by intentionally exercising virtue, reinforcing Catholicism as a way of life, and not just another class to be passed.

Fr. Martin Pitstick, Pastor of Divine Mercy Parish in Bellevue, KY integrates the virtue of the week into his homily for his weekly all-school Mass with the students of Holy Trinity. Our resources make this easier for your parish priests to do this. Having all leaders and staff “speaking the same language” helps reinforce the virtue for your students.
We also specialize in ceremony-events that help create powerful Catholic memories and experiences for your students. We have full scripts for both whole school and by grade level. These are outstanding activities to help you strengthen Catholic Identity within your school and parish community as well as ways to involve your parents in very specific and intentional ways.
The kindergartners at Holy Trinity recently had their Posada ceremony complete with some piñata fun afterwards.
Virtue=Strength has many different resources to help you streamline your virtue instruction throughout school and athletics. Imagine having every teacher and coach on the same page with focus, mission and vocabulary.
These are sample virtue and vice definition image postres you can Print out or show on monitors throughout the school to help remind your students about the virtues. We intentionally striver to connect the words with the image so the students can “see better” what the virtues and vices “look like” in real life.

Our 5-slide presentation is an extremely easy to use resource. It is a ready-made lesson plan with images, videos, saint quotes, Gospel quotes, definitions of the virtue and vice, examples of how to live the virtue and avoid the vice.
It requires next to no preparation. Here below are some sample slides from the virtue of Gratitude and the vice of Ingratitude.

But we also have many other resources so you can pick and choose and make this as robust as you like or start off small. Daily saint quotes, daily saint videos, journal sheets, reflection sheets, virtue awards, virtue building activities, anti-bullying activities and family life building activities and much much more.
